    Subject: Essay on cow

You will forget ur english by the time u finish reading this. This is a
true essay written by a bihari candidate at the UPSC(IAS) examination.
the candidate has written an essay on the indian cow

He is the cow. The cow is a successful animal. Also he is 4 footed, &
also because he is female, he gives milks ( but will do so when he is
got child). He is same like GOD, sacred to Hindus & useful to man. But he
has got 4 legs together. Two r forward & two r afterward. His whole
body can be utilised for use. More so the milk. The milk comes from 4
    taps attached to his basement.

What can I do? Various ghee, butter, cream, why and the condensed milk
and so forth. Also he is useful to cobbler, watermans and mankind
generally. His motion is slow only because he is of lazy species. Also his
other motion..(gober) also useful to trees, plants as well as for
making flat cakes ( like Pizza), in hand and drying in the sun.

Cow is the only animal that extricates his feeding after eating. Then
afterwards she chew with his teeth whom are situated in the inside of
the mouth. He is incessantly in the meadows in the grass. His only
attacking and defending organ is the horns, specially so when he is got
child. This is done by knowing his head whereby he causes the weapons

To be parallel to the ground of the earth and instantly with great
    velocity forwards.

He has got tails also, situated in the backyard, but not like similar
animals. He has got the hairs on the other end of the other side. This
is done to frighten away the flies which alight on his cohesive body
here upon he gives hit with it.

The palms of his feet are soft on to the touch, so the grasses head is
not crushed. His eyes & noes are like his other relative. This is the
    cow.:D

Fun to read, it was almost florid prose in a few places completely by accident :p

Sadly I've seen writing of this quality from students who speak English as a primary language.

I can almost certainly swear that English would be that student 3rd or 4th language, definitely not his native tongue.....

Right, I wasn't implying he was a native speaker. I was just saying I've seen work this bad from native speakers.

I have read this essay many times on the net.

However, I don't believe the UPSC part.

First, UPSC exams are serious stuff....they don't ask people to write essays on cows and dogs.

Second, these answer sheets are never made public.

I believe this is just work of someone who had a lot of time to waste.

Yea, this is just for fun. Every word is perfect, not even a spell mistake. So it is deliberately written to make afunny essay on COW which in fact the writer has done it quite well.

the problem with this article is less language skills and more the state of mental development.

no matter how bad a person's English is, he won't write such comments:

    cow has 4 legs.
    cow gives milk.
    cow has a tail.

people with poor knowledge of English would make grammatical and spelling mistakes, but they won't write dumb essays.
