Tyson is just a mad bull -more brawn than brains. While Ali is recognised as arguably one of best boxers ever, many do agree that he may struggle in Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) fights. Intriguingly, in the 70s there was talk on grapevine about Ali fighting Bruce Lee in a mixed martial arts (MMA) fight. In those days, MMA were rare unlike these days where they have UFC etc. Of 'cos some laughed this off that Ali would crush Bruce Lee wearing boxing gloves following boxing rules as it will be a heavyweight fighting a lighweight. On other hand, others say that it was following open streetfighting rules , Bruce Lee would win quite easily. While Ali is considered one of fastest boxers, his speed pales in comparison to Bruce Lee. Ali is from a different class physically, boxing and mentally It would be a non-event Ali would knock him out in around 3 rounds But it would be worth watching as Ali would have taken him out with some style

These both great boxers had high speed and power punch. But i think Ali was a little better than Mike.
Ali would have probably beat tyson on skill but if mike got a knockout punch on Ali he'd be out for the count
I see a lot of people making fun of Tyson hinting at that 'ear biting' incident with Holyfield. Remember, it happened when Tyson was past his prime and Holyfield is no saint either. He repeatedly headbutted Tyson and the referee simply turned a blind eye to that. However, I agree that it was wrong, unethical, stupid, etc. Coming to your question - I'm a fan of Ali too, but I think Tyson has the edge. Let me explain. In his prime, Tyson was simply a beast. His punching power was greater than any other contemporary boxer. He was a physical specimen. For a guy of his muscle bulk, he moved amazingly fast, which made his opponents unsure of their moves. Moreover, when it comes to technique and skills, both Ali and Tyson use the peek-a-boo style and their defense styles are pretty solid. So, I'm not sure how you people are so confident that Ali will knock Tyson out??
