Ok i sent 2 domains to this guy and he said he wanted to check if they worked. After i sent them. He went offline. I am not so stupid to not take payment first. He sent $2500 of $5000 of the money.
Does godaddy allow domains to be refunded back into the account.

This is the mail i got from godaddy when i sent the domain to him
This email is to confirm the recent change of registrant
of the following domain name(s):

**********.COM

The change has been completed and the available information
has been recorded in our system.

If for any reason this information is incorrect or you
feel this change of registrant request was made in error,
please contact us within 15 days at undo@godaddy.com.

Sincerely,
GoDaddy.com, Inc.

yes you can get them back, some times this happens in the opposite way, ie. the seller will pretend to sell the domains and pass them over to you as a buyer and once you have paid for the domains the seller will reverse the domain change - so that he gets your money and keeps the domains.

So I would say yes this is totally possible, contact Godaddy and reverse the change - maybe explaining the reason for the push in the first place.

I am sure that if the dodgy web masters can exploit it, then you can also have this opportunity.

The company should have a system in place to prevent such things, however you need to check their Terms of Service on this one. They may not be liable to help you if they state 'We take no responsibilty for domain transactions' or something like that. As far as the buyer is concerned he could godaddy saying he has sent the payments. Make sure you provide godaddy with transaction details and this persons logs.

It's very much out of your control, you can only supply information to the best of your knowledge in order to resolve this issue.

Regards.

He wanted to check if the content was all there. All the files.
I'll call godaddy and see what they say.
Any advice or experience would greatly be appreciated! Thanks

Yup I would do that, so you gave him the domains and the access to the cpanel ?

Like I said above though, man people have purchased domains, then had them cleared to their accounts, once they've paid - the seller takes back the domains. So it's possible to get them back. If you manage to get the sites and cpanels back you could always ask for your site to be turned back to last auto save point - if he's altered them.

Are you serious??? What do the files have anything to do with the domain? I would NEVER push to anyone who would want a domain to "check if the content was all there." Content has NOTHING to do with the domain.

Jeez...

If you got your money and everything is fine, your good. If you're missing money and the buyer isn't paying you... e-mail . It's a pretty straightforward email.

Goodluck.

Bad luck. Usually the buyer sends the money first, this is weird.
Eventhough he already sent half of the money you should atleast send half of the domains you're selling. That would be fair :p
Anything more than $400 is worthy of escrow or at list Tdname.com
emm.. I wonder why people don't use tdnam??

If you pushed them (in this case yes) godaddy generally does nothing and this is right cause otherwise we would see a lot on reverse scams.

coolgoo, if you have a problem with godaddy, call them on the phone. I have over 200 domain names with them and have NEVER had any problems. I've called support twice for minor things and they were nothing but helpful. I would say from your posts that english is not your native language. Godaddy's site can take time to learn even for native english speakers. To trash the company because of your lack of comprehension is childish. Go to the support section on their site or CALL THEM. And no, I don't work for them.
