Kinda fitting that the Anglo version of Barrack would endorse him. Hell, Obama should have Jimmy run as his VP. A marriage made in heaven! So its Carter vs. Reagan all over again. We all know how that one turned out.
Why not get Donald Rumsfeld, this way he can shake the iranian leaders hand and then bomb his country 5 years later. Opps that was our puppet saddam. Sorry about the mixup. As far as Obama, hes a puppet just like the 2 other mannequins (insane Mccain, and Hillary "get those interns lined up" Clinton
It looks like it's pretty much over, a bunch of super delegates came forward today for obama, he's got wrapped up after the numbers come in tonight.
Why are you making it about ethnicity? Carter vs. Ford This is great. I absolutely cannot stand Hillary. Hopefully she slinks off into obscurity.
bush/macsane funny http://youtube.com/watch?v=XFhakR_dork sure ...... Bush on steroids serious http://youtube.com/watch?v=RCnjBrueji4&feature=related
So are republicans actually supporting McCain? When I supported him months and months ago the so called republicans on this forum thought I was crazy, surely sounded like they would not support him. Things have changed????
Its amazing the ends to which some will go to try to make McCain appear more "Bush" like. Unfortunately, McCain is the polar opposite, and if anything, more left of center than most democrats on many issues. It's pretty sad to think that this is all anyone has when it comes to bashing McCain. Um, McCain equals a 3rd Bush term.... Hardly. While McCain is certainly not my first choice, when you consider the alternatives, there is no other hope.
With that thinking and taking the lesser of two evils there is no hope. It would be refreshing if people actually voted for someone they wanted to win, not just on party lines, or to get one to win over another. In other words finding someone, even if a third party to vote for, other than simply voting along party lines especially when you do not agree with him/her. I supported McCain, hoped he'd be in it for years actually. Now that he is, finding more out about him, especially his immigration stance, I do not believe I can vote for him.
No, its kinda like this... Lesser of two evils. Someone with experience and a good record of crossing the isle to get things done, vs. a race baiting pompous arrogant fool who's whole premise for running is "Change"... No plan, no previous experience, no indication of what the "Change" will be, just "Change". The reason you see a lot of Republicans shy away from McCain or other candidates has nothing to do with party affiliation. Not all of us vote along party lines. We consider the candidate, their experience and record, and then decide. I've long been, and am still a Huckabee supporter. His plan for the elimination of income tax in exchange for a use tax, his plans for a cleaner environment and promise to rid us of dependence on foreign oil is what appealed to me. At this point, when given two choices, I can go with "good speaker" or someone who has actually done something. Someone who actual has authored legislation, unlike Obama. Hell GRIM, you should know as well as I do that our own Senator Fiengold and McCain worked together on campaign finance reform. Fiengold is about as liberal as they come for those not familiar with him. It's pretty clear to me, that when I compare records - not party affiliation, McCain has more experience than Obama. And it is not just experience, but substance. I've yet to hear Obama given concrete details about any plan to fix anything. Even Hillary has actual plans, and has btw, actually voted in her present Job. She's introduced legislation in her current job. She's actually worked in the private sector. Obama comes off as an arrogant, obtuse, and know it all. People like that are dangerous in an profession. No, I don't see Soro's pretty boy/yes man making it based solely on his looks and ability to give a good speech. FYI, I voted for Alan Keyes in Bush's first election. Bush kinda grew on me after 9/11.
Personally I don't believe I'll vote for either of them and instead will put my vote on someone I can actually support and not the same old 'lesser of two evils' that has gotten this country into so much crap. I firmly believe the two party system needs to die, it will only die when people stop following party lines and or the lesser of two evil approach and actually make a stand.
You have a very principled position friend, and I salute your honesty, consistency and courage. On the contrary, voting for the lesser of two evils is pretty much the same as not voting at all. Either way you will get an evil, and not the "good choice" you would have made had their been an opportunity.
HA! Nice try. Trying to pin Obama to a Democratic president from 28 years ago ain't going to fly. McCain pinned to the CURRENT neocon President? Absolutely. McCain = More Bush. http://www.Bush-McCainChallenge.com As far as your assertion that McCain is not like Bush at all and is actually "left of the center" on some issues. Perhaps on an issue here or there he is not like Bush, for example he recognizes that global warming exists. I know that for some conservatives that's really "out there." But to folks in the reality based world - that's not enough to really impress. On all of the BIG issues - McCain is right in line with Bush. He's the same as Bush on Iraq, the economy, and perhaps even worse on health care. McCain has voted with Bush on every single issue in 2008. And I am actually fearful he may be an even bigger warmonger than Bush. Obama on the other hand represents a complete reversal on foreign policy - to a more sane intelligent foreign policy where we do not start any wars and do not get involved in conflict unless it is absolutely necessary. And I actually find your Reagan comparison particularly enjoyable because it's actually Barack Obama that is the "Reagan" of this campaign. He's the new "teflon" politician. The new "great communicator." They differ greatly on the issues of course (thank God) but as far as the surface stuff (and make no mistake, the surface stuff is very important in modern politics) - Obama is Reagan of this campaign, not McCain.
I was alive 28 years ago. Carter and Obama could have been separated at birth. For those of us old enough to remember, Carter and Obama are nearly identical. Ha Ha..
