This is my latest article on"5 Important SEO tips for Webmasters"I hope everyone finds it usefull Please feel free to post your comments below!
I dont see you posting on similar threads like THIS He has done exactly the same as me, Please dont blackern my thread by saying things like this in the future. I you have got a issue with me please pm me and we can discuss it and sort it out
you claim in your 'guide' that you should submit to search engines yourself...this may have been true back in 1997 but these days the engines will find you...or should find you as long as you have incoming links with appropriate anchor text
Yes I was found with my blog but for some poorley optimisez sites they just simply arnt indexed. I would always reccomend doing this
You are a complete fraud, you know. You dish up second and third hand 'tips' that you don't even seem to understand. TheMachine is right is about search engine submission (and - a rerun of your previous thread - several people have told you there is NO CONNECTION between a sitemap and Page Rank, and you don't seem to understand why)
Please tell me how this makes me a fraud, a fraud is "deceit, trickery, sharp practice, or breach of confidence, perpetrated for profit or to gain some unfair or dishonest advantage." Please tell me how i am one of those, I offer my knowledge on my blog nothing more. Its not 3rd hand advice its my own advice so its 1st hand. You might have seen this advice on a blog before but my audience which is new webmasters wont have so it will help them. The Machine might be rgith about search engine submission but this is my advice. Yes I know page rank doesint have a connection with your page rank now! You dont have to grill or flame me about my post's You could comment I dont agree with this point and explain why. Dont just have an outrage at me for offering my advice for new bloggers. So dont make allegations like "fraud" without proof
These are "useless" and "mis-informative" tips.... 1. Are you kidding about "Find the best keywords?", I would think anyone with 2 brain cells could figure this one out themselves. Not to mention natural flowing content should dictate the keywords used instead of choosing keywords and writing around them. 2. Meta tags on your images? Are you kidding me? I think you need to do some research on how to optimized images. Using the alt attribute, proper file names and content around the image is how you get them ranked in Google Images and properly indexed. 3. You don't need to submit your site's to search engines, building backlinks is the best way to start getting your site crawled and indexed. You'll find it will happen faster than manual submissions. 4. It's actually called an XML sitemap, and thats the current standard search engines are using. Learn to include proper information into your blog posts. 5. Bold text? Ya, cause it's so common for visitors to want keywords bolded to them, the only time you bold text is when your doing it for visitors; not search engines! Do you think a billion dollar algorithm is dumb enough to fall for this 1996 trick? You may not use any of this post into your blog, doing so will be considered infringement onto what I've stated and how I've stated it. Breach this and it will be reported to blogspot and your blog will probably be removed.
I wont be using this dont worry! Thanks for informing me Im allways willing to leanr new and informatie information I just dont like it being shouted at me So thank youssandecki
Wow! the bulk of that info is not only wrong, its patently absurd. And it's always not all ways. Nigel
No problem, just do more research next time and make sure your information is accurate. Also, try not to post direct links that in threads soloy for the purpose of getting traffic.
You are a fraud because you are setting yourself up as some kind of expert when you don't know what you're talking about. It's no help to anyone for you to post misleading or out of date information. You're parroting things you've read elsewhere, but you don't understand them from your own experience, or from grasping the concepts behind them. Just changing your mind because a couple of people tell you you're wrong doesn't cut it if you still don't understand any of the principles behind what they're saying. This isn't random and folk-lore - it's not an exact science but there is logic and hard numbers behind it, and understanding the concepts will get you further than just repeating something you read somewhere else.
Calling him a fraud is not only a bit harsh, it's not helpful to the cause. I seriously doubt he wittingly attempted to mislead people. Nigel
