Banks' credit crisis solutions have echoes of 1929 Depression

    Excerpt
Really interesting article. If I understand it correctly, the banks are replacing the bad paper with bad loans.

Another 10% drop in home prices is going to cause another crisis and some more Bank failures. There is no end in sight.

$1 trillion takes a while to digest, maybe a few years but definitely no end in sight in the near future.

The Fed did the right thing by stopping any more interest rate cuts, guess Bernanke finally realized free economy is the best economy to take care of things.

I like the timing between the Obama win and the market shitting all over itself.

Oh, and LEH is still run by chimps who like to muddle around in their own feces.

LEH is the smallest of the investment banks yet to get into real serious problems, I guess everyone on the market is watching them through a microscope.

Every Obama victory has been marked by a huge decline in the stock market and consumer confidence. Every Clinton victory has been marked by quite the opposite, nothing but gains.

    Kinda speaks to the obvious.

Yeah, the obvious. A white woman is way better for business than a black man...

Any particular reason you chose to make this about race? Gender or race has and or should have nothing to do with this election. Unfortunately a great many people on the Obama side have made race an issue.

Obama is 1/2 white and 1/2 black. Its not one or the other, its both. Its not which ever one suits you at the time, its both. To separate or segregate is to invite racism into an issue where it should be completely devoid.

Because you said it was obvious. The only obvious difference to me between Statist sellout slimeball A and Statist sellout slimeball B is that one is a white woman, and the other is a black brown man.

If I'm wrong, I would appreciate your explaining the "obvious" difference which has alluded me.

Hillary has been quite up front about her generous plans for corporate subsidies. Her medical plan would be like a $100 billion windfall for the insurance companies, so I'm sure they rallied a bit on that speculation any time she took a lead.

Obama's plans are a little more expensive but they also seem like less of a business handout and more like re-arranging the red tape.

A decline in the the stock market directly correlates to an Obama victory is the context in which I was speaking. What is "obvious" is the reason why the stock market takes a dive with every Obama victory.

Obama's lack of experience, plan and real world experience has investors shaky on the prospect of him being president. Given Obama has little to know experience in any sector of either private or public service, I think it is fairly OBVIOUS as to why the stock market responds negatively to his gains and positively to his losses.

You made this about race, when race had nothing to do about it. Care to explain why that is?
