What would be best for promoting a new Forum?

I would reduce the forums till there is enough content to seperate it again.

Ask many of your friends and family to sign up and start talking to each other.
Everybody post only some messages per day and your forum will grow!

In meantime, you have to
-seo the forum
-add more features, like youtube bb code
-correct titles for maximum search engine results
-ask your forum members to invite others (does your forum has an invite system?)
-sign up at other forums that accepts sig links and post a lot of messages.
-etc

And.. Dont give up!

 

Hi, i agree with your demand and supply statement, feed with the demand.
Well the idea i created this forum is to provide a place for people to share their normal lifestyle information with those people who are in needs. Honestly, I dint think about what niche keywords like mentioned previously, my concern was and is to provide the best and complete categories to user so they can share as much information as they want in the right place and to easier the user to search for helps.

That’s the reason you can see this forum is covered by lots topics and makes it very wide. I want the first impression of a new user who visits this forum that they can find almost anything here. If for professional or more specialise, they can look for digital points forum or so on as example. If I took off any of those categories it would makes my forum looks more specific but that will not be the thing that I plan initially.

Yea information is very much needed. So, if you guys have some articles to submit, please don’t hesitate to submit to here hahaha..

I also agree right now is not good to market as there is no content, wait till the forum is running a bit with more contents and user than start promoting.

Again, theres no specific niche for this forum. Do you think my idea is bad? i might have this idea because i am targeting different type of surfers.

In my opinion your idea is not bad, only more difficult to promote maybe. Therefor make sure your forum is seo-ed so it will be picked up by SE's and your visitors will come by itself after a while.

Also, if your forum has good PR it is a good idea to invite other site owners. They will love their sig links -if you allow them to have- and start posting

Yea, signature links is welcome. As mentioned is info sharing, so this will be the return to those who share info with other members.
