I emailed Google about putting Adsense and eBay on the same page

Since I couldn't find a satisfactory answer on their site, or here, I sent an email this morning and already got a response.

I recently built a content site where I wanted to provide eBay affiliate ads that are optimized to keywords you choose, but it was unclear if that qualifies as "contextual", therefore not allowing Adsense on the same page because of the Adsense TOS.

Here's the response I got from Google:

So it's official, at least for now. You can have ebay ads on the same page with Adsense ads. Some will probably think this was already common knowledge but after searching here there wasn't much in the way of officiallity, and many were asking the question.

    Cheers

what do you mean ebay affiliate ads? I was unaware ebay or sellers had them. I know you can search a lot of terms and see in adwords theres an ebay link but was never sure why. who hasn't heard of ebay

It's not so much of "who hasn't heard of ebay", its "wow ebay has this product I am searching for brand new for really cheap and I didn't think of it right now". Just because its their, doesn't mean its always in the top of everyones heads :)
