    Well, i would rather buy an auto-updating site, pretty old with decent amount of traffic and would mainly focus on adsense ads.

    Blogs are trendy but limited to standard layout formats while a website can grow and be transformed according to your development plans, including integrating a blog as part of it, hence, if I would have to buy one or another I would better go with a website ;)
