I didn't go with GoDaddy in the end for the .info domains, I HATE the system I went with another company and paid an extra $2. Not really bothered though... better than using the system GoDaddy uses.

    Thank you.

Did you mean GoDaddy $1.19 domains?

Remember that if you have only one buck in your pocket you will not be able to buy an info domain at GoDaddy due to they charge $0.20 ICANN fee at checkout ;)

1&1 has truly $0.99 INFOs and $6.99 ORG domains

Godaddy had a $0.99 sale all of April, then ended it May1.
Then, in mid-May they brought it back.

Yes, there is an extra $0.20 to factor in - ICANN fee when using Godaddy.
As Trusted Writer pointed out, 1and1 does not charge that extra $0.20...it is already factored in.

However, if you plan to eventually sell/push to someone else, you are better off
having paid that $0.20 at Godaddy because a Godaddy push is FREE.
At 1and1, the new person you push it to will be charged a FULL REGISTRATION fee again...at whatever
the current rate is, at the time they receive it!

Just something to keep in mind.

Not that I think Godaddy is perfect...but I am curious too, about the post from NashTax...what is it in Godaddy's system that you dislike?

    Hello,

I agree with you guys... Godaddy charge ICANN fees + If you want private registration then they charge too much...

I am running HV Web Host - www.hvwebhost.com and providing .info only @ $2.44 which includes everything... NO extra charges... and Privacy protection is FREE with all the domains though.

This is just for your knowledge.

    Thanks,

The 99c plus 20c ICANN promo has been going for a few weeks now. I've regged a few over this recent promo. Not sure when it's gonna expire though.

I agree. When attempting to move a site many people (my clients at least) prefer that its registered with them as the transfer of ownership is fast and free.
