just registered thebicycle.org .com, .net, .info n .biz are taken. good domain name? please appraise... thanks
if it was bicycle.org.. but thebicycle.org the other extensions don't get much traffic and are pretty generic... .org's are around $8 to register. I'd say that whatever you paid in registration fees... that's how much its worth as it sits... developed maybe... now... $x.
thanks for looking in puremonopoly but now i've found something...really interesting... thebicyclecasinos.com is the website of a casino group and they seem to have bought thebicycle.net and thebicycle.info and redirected them to their main website now, u think they might be interested in thebicycle.org? and being a casino, they might have some decent $$$s...... what do you think i should do? thanks again
You can try contacting them and making an offer, but I doubt they'll be interested. Nothing wrong with trying, though.
I noticed that in my initial search. However, thebicyclecasino.com is a bulk pointer. They have a bulk list of bike key domains that point to their site. I'd say they may be interested in thebicycle.org for a maximum of $xx but their site isn't developed effectively enough to say they really understand their market. That noted, they'll probably pass on the offer. If their site was any good that they felt they needed all entensions to catch even the smallest of traffic I'd assume they would have caught thebicycle.org in a domain backorder'...usually casinos capture .com and .net extensions... The .com can be used as the commercial entity such as pokerstars.com. Their .net website is for play money' gambling. Its a way around the internet casino laws of promoting gambling in some countries. The user goes to the .net site to learn to play with pretend money and usually ends up switching to the .com version to play in real money' tables. I'll stick with my original appraisal. However, currently I don't see this site worth more than $xx.
hmmm...thanks puremonopoly. I guess you are right. They would have had a backorder going had there been any interest in the domain name.
Yeah...but I was thinking more on the lines of other organizations(not just the bicycle companies) that are named "THE BICYCLE". A google search for "the bicycle" reveals how popular a brand name "THE BICYCLE" is. Anyway, I've turned the domain into a website and put it up for sale. Check it out : www.thebicycle.org
