True. This is the way they verify the identity of the credit card's owner.

Of course if you do not believe that you benefitted from using Paypal then it would be your best interest not to use them. Especially if you are sure that they make more money than you in your business.

In the end, of course if you make more sales through paypal, the accumulated fees you pay them would accumulate, however you will need to see it in the proper perspective. paypal allows you to earn in excess of 95% of the transaction which you may not otherwise have earned.

Absolutely, in the end any transactions should be a Win Win situation. Besides, money is really not palatable :)

I would like to share my opinions too ........

Since Many members here recommended to don't use Paypal "If we dont Like It"

But what if Paypal makes an account inactive in between the transaction and freez your money with account limitation ?

In my opinion besides freezing account with "account limitation" Paypal must do follow these steps to consider application for account opening with Paypal

1- Every registered Paypal member must have CC
2- Every Details on CC must matches with details member has offered to Paypal
3- Send Money option Must be removed and they clearly ask people to use request for money or invoice option for more clear and ethical business transactions over Paypal
4- They must take prior full details of business and people opening merchant account to avoid confusions regarding transaction and merchants using paypal service

THE ABOVE PREREQUISITES CAN BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION FOR OPENING ANY PAYPAL ACCOUNT IN THIS WAY PAYPAL WILL HAVE ALL INFORMATION ABOUT THEIR CURRENT USERS AND THIS WILL AVOID CONFUSION REGARDING PEOPLE DOING BUSINESS ON PAYPAL AND NO ONE WILL HAVE ACCOUNT LIMITATION

(I guess but Paypal also needs more members and even more the members who do mistakes and they hold their amount for long time)

Im highly disappointed with Paypal because they don't take information regarding business at the time of registration but come up with objections when people receive money and just they either block their money or ask stupid question regarding transactions that waste a lot of time and if somehow they failed to understand they continue the limitation for 180 days

Paypal is a money carrier or processing service and for which they receive their share of amount with every transaction, In my recommendation to Paypal is not required to initiate any process against any transaction or account until complaints or disputes are filed by customers for account holders !!!!!!!!!!!

    What you Say !!!!!!!!!1

I have a paypal debit card.
Best thing that I have ever done.
I use it for everything. Doesn't overdraw if I make a mistake. No overdraft fees. If someone half way around the world pays me 100 bucks at 12 noon, at 12:01 I can spend it.

I feel that the safest approach is to read the TOS and follow the TOS, no harm will be on you. I do not think there is a need for any prequisites as long as you are honest with your identity, there are easily ways to prove it.

    Great for you!

But I think the PayPal debit card is not available in all territories

I still think PayPal is the best option right now. BUT, as julia18ny pointed out, they shld not be the one to initiate any probe on the money, unless there is a complaint.

But that is their business, and we users are usually at their mercy. Anyway, its a use-it-if-you-like-PayPal or dont-bother-using-PayPal if you have many complains.

Life is sweet, isn't it?

That's just a big scam to give them a "illegal" excuse to make interest on your money.

    Paypal sucks.. Thieves, Scam

We now use AlertPay and they even sent a representative to sit in our forums and address any issues our clients have in future.

I guess Paypal is not a Good option when you purchase or receive payment on buying service
since in that case you dont have any shipping detail, no tracking numbers nothing

Recently one of my friend who offers seo consultancy got limited and even on having explanation to Paypal after sending lots of documents and proof of address and identity paypal continue to limit to his account with excuse that they can't bear the risk with my friend's business

What is a risk in consultancy business ?

So what do you expect Paypal to do since any credit card holder can have up to 180 days to request for a chargeback at their bank. Do you want paypal to pay from their own pockets all the disputed amount from their own pocket from the sales you accepted and you get no responsibility at all ?

Paypal limits your account because there is something suspicious and that you cannot provide the necessary information to clear their doubts.

i dont think so, if you have all legit docs with you and have published correct info to paypal then you wont loose money but the chargeback facility make suffer a lot and scammers making a lot of profit from it.

Good Point made. There are risks in online transactions, some of which are beyond the control of Paypal at all.

There is no hidden reason that PayPal eats money.
I think you should discuss it with the PayPal help center.
They will tell you the proper way and the reason also.

It's ok if it gets a few cents from every transaction, as long as they can provide good service.

Problem is they often limits or suspends an account without much explanation. Now, that's bad service at its worst!
