It expired and I got it gets 300 vists a month from yahoo directory because it is most popular for it directory but msn yahoo and google don't list it for anything #1 here http://dir.yahoo.com/Business_and_E...s/Credit_and_Finance/Financing/Cash_Advances/ don't know what makes it get listed at the top of most popular funny thing when I found it it had been expired for 3 months already I have been afraid to change anything and lose the most popular listing. this was my first yahoo directory find now I have several of them. the first ones listed the directory from the early days where free and stay that way grand fathered free listing you just have to watch and you can pick up a few a year somethimes you get them for just registering them and some times you have to bid for them at the drop sites DMOZ drops the listing when they expire. sucks when you don't know and bid high and see it droped a few days later was looking at backlinks when I saw your posting thinking of add some links and see if I can get in to the serps yahoo directory list page one for many cash advance terms and I am at the top of the directory this should give me a major advantage with the deep yahoo directoy listing
I wouldn't pay 300$, sorry. It isn't worth it when you can submit there for free and just hope you get accepted. It must be nice to have a website that people are will to pay that much to be listed on. I envy Yahoo. Sadly.
There was someone the other day offering to list you within 5 days for $50 the thread was taken down though. $300 is a waste of time for ROI. @Western; How can you get listed for free?
It really does sound crazy to invest $300 just to be listed in Yahoo directory. I just hope you know what to expect.
You can say that again. I take it by your comment that Yahoo sucks then? Yeah, but sadly it's not happening anymore. I'm amazed so many desperately cling onto this freebie crap being worth anything. I got listed in Yahoo by way of another site - just not directly though, so yeah it's very difficult to get in without paying.
There is someone selling yahoo listings for 50$ in the directory here in the forum. Don't know how they do it but they are just search.
I have a site listed, but I really don't think I can justify the cost. It may help with "authority" in some respect, as far as Google is concerned. However, I've seen very little traffic from their directory, so even that is pretty much a joke. $300...I wouldn't do it again.
That's good to know. I was kinda curious about traffic. That is what I am interested in, not PR, etc.. Just raw traffic. What kinda of a site did you have listed?
i list those people who link or comment in my blog i m using a vulnerability in yahoo when its free for me why should i charge for it i can list all sites in the world in yahoo dir newly one of my friends listed here http://dir.yahoo.com/Business_and_E...and_Advertising/Internet/Promotion/?d=all&o=a just search bible and goto his blog and you can see he linked to me
