While I was picking some snap beans out of my garden I came across a box turtle. The turtle was left were it was at so it could eat what it wanted. I dont mind sharing some of my garden with the local wildlife. Watch the video of the turtle - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTW_rMy1UXA
Most people do not find a turtle in their garden. This is rare, so yea, its kinda special to have this guest visit my garden. Like you said, who cares.
A turtle in the garden is a great find. I bet not many people could experience that. You should keep it as a pet
Thats great buddy!!! You should keep it and I am sure that it will become a good pet for you!! Its beautiful....
You are lucky to have this special visitor . Leave it alone to go about it's business or take it back to where it came from if it doesn't.
I dont advocate it leaving alone and minding its business bcoz there could be a road along his house and it would be crushed to death.he should either use as a pet or land it somewhere in its natural habitat.
very nice, let it be as it is and it will live happily. No need to put it into captivity (wow im sounding like an animal lover activist)
That is exactly what I did. There is plenty of food in my garden for it. There is a road about 200 feet from my house, but the other directions are nothing but woods. Last week I planted another 2 rows of beans. So there will be lots of food for him to eat on.
That turtle looks so small. Very nice find! Lol... you guys can sell everything that comes your way! Ya, you are sounding like PETA - People Eating Tasty Animals.
There are several different types of turtles. This is a land turtle, it eats mostly leaves and other plant matter. TIt was probably in my garden looking for peas, squash or tomatoes. You might be thinking of a red eared snapping turtle, as it will sometimes venture out on dry land. Habitat http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/huntwild/wild/species/easternbox/
