Is this allowed?

Is it against adsense TOS to make a website where you can download software music and videos? like download.com or soft32.com is it allowed? I will not upload any files but i want to use the links from these websites or is it not allowed...?

 

I guess, I think download.com uses Google Adsense and I dont see anything against it in the TOS

 

If all the stuff (software, music, etc) is legal, then it's okay.

 

do music and videos not have copyright on them? videos like youtube and dailymotion etc.

Also the softwares are freeware and shareware i think is that allowed?

I do not want to upload my own files because i do not know if they have copyright on them but am i allowed to take the links from download.com or a similar site?

 

They've the links to the demos and freeware softwares and as far as I know, this is okay with Adsense. Spreading links of copyrighted material [warez stuff] is not okay with Adsense.

If it's not pirated, w@rez stuff than it's OK.
Freeware, Shareware, Trials... it's all good for AdSense.

Hot linking might not be allowed. You should ask the webmasters first.

You understand that they PAY for the bandwidth right?

You might be able to do a site in which you give links to the other sites' landing pages, but giving links directly to the other sites' files is trouble.

 

Putting copyright materials such as movies ,softwares,Music so on is prohibited in google adsense .But you can put free softwares ,some demo on site ,Google will allow that .

 

But i don't really know WHICH movies, softwares music have copyright on them...

 

In that case, don't post them. You can safely assume that anything that was brought out commercially is under copyright, as well as anything a private person brought out that doesn't have some kind of sharing agreement attached.

If you don't know about copyright, you should avoid this niche. You'll make a mistake and get yourself banned.

Then go do some serious research into copyright, shareware, freeware, etc. Read read read read read. You're not going to get enough of an explanation by asking questions on this forum. You have to be absolutely scrupulous about what you link to, because if you link to illegal content you'll lose your Adsense account for life.
