Although you have already ignored all advice I would still take a risk by telling you that it's recommended to have multiple IPs for your directories. Try and use different hosting providers. You may want to have one IP per 3-4 directories initially and then buy more IPs. But seriously. why do you want 100 directories?
They must be different IP, but I think not necessary to host all of them in different host. 4-5 directories may be in one host but they need to have different IP. With this way you can save a lot of money
business.. each general directory can sell how many paid listing max? how much paid lisitng links in a catagory or front page.. i want to develop them in pr2 and sell them cheap to ppls.. 100 ppl each buy for 50bucks $5000 minus my investment office and employees
Seems like a heck of a lot of work and creation of spam sites with duplicate content to scam 100 people out of $50 each. There are alot easier and more ethical ways to make a lousy $5k before expenses.
There's a bright idea, we all might get in on the act, ? but wait has not this been done 101 times before, give you a nickel if you can show me one instance of these not looking and becoming crap link farms with no trust and only gaining revenew from the unknowing and gulible, finally resulting in accepting any crap link in the vain hope their adsense on each directory adds up to some cents. 2 types of dreamers, those with real attianable out comes and goals and those that belong in fantasy land.

what way? (dont give me jerking ways or gambling ways.. or a secret that no one knows and you charge $50 to $150 to tell that secret) $5k isnt a small amount getting it 2 times a year.. is more then enough for my office

i'm planning to do the same thing with surf4fun But if you see their directories, most of them are quick and dirty build, not sure if it's good or bad.
May be it can be done what you're asking. We know that directory is just a magic of database and nothing. So, if you really want to do it, you need one common database i.e. MySql or MSSql for all of those directories. Make a registration form, data retrieve etc. from the same database server for all directories. Only in this way you can control all the sites, not only 100 even 10000000+ websites from only one control panel. But the major problem is: All the directories will display same result because of using same database server. If any user submit his/her website at any of the one directory, his/her site will display at all the directories. One Advantage: If you've 1000 directories and providing directory submission service, then you can claim that you can submit any website to 1000 directories within 1 minutes. Just submit the website at any of your directory and your 1000 directories submission will be completed. So, when you're going to register your 100 directories website? Let us know when you do it. We'll submit at any of one directory and we'll get 99 directories bonus. Is not? YES Don't do it what I've said above. Just manage one directory properly. Sometimes one directory can give you better result than 100 directories.

My sentiments exactly! There is no way for one person to create and manage 100 free directories with genuine quality to them. Jamie's right — do one good one (or just a few good ones). But then again, that choice is yours. As for me, I would rather have a smaller, high-quality site(s) than a ton of meaningless ones.
Thanks ASPMachine I am really serious about it even if ppl dont buy the links.. or i cannot sell the sites who is going to stop me for using it for my own sites.. and i was thinking 100.. but you gave me hope for 1000.. and no this wont be managed from bed room labour is very cheap in third world country.. you can get 1 employee for less then 50bucks here.. and most have no idea how web business works.. but have skills in computer typing internet browsing etc..
This is actually doable, just add another field on the directory data table to identify the site the user submitted its site to. and when one site display it directory, it will only display data that belongs to it based on the identifier. you'll need an identifier for anything unique.
Dude? 100? Seriously? I started with one directory and did a good job with it, it takes a lot of advertising and such to make it good and popular. Right now I still have that directory and I'm using it to help promote 2 more. But they are different, and thats what makes them fun to me. 100 is way too many and you don't seem to know enough about a web directory. hehe, I read your last post... You could have a hundred directories that all link to each other, so that each directory would have like 99 links in them, what a great idea!!!!
