How to Solve ?

    Hi DP friends

    I have started a social networking website. But i am facing problem with spam. If i use hotmail or yahoo email address for sign up or invitation then the mail goes to spam folder but if i use Gmail then it works fine and goes to inbox. Can anybody tell me how can i solve this problem? I have used php sendmail function for sending invitation or activation link to users.

    What is the main reason behind this problem?

    May be your hosts IP or IP range has been classified as Spam range by Yahoo and MSN i.e Hotmail .. Check with your Hosting provider.

    That's the reason, don't use php sendmail function, hotmail and yahoo usually recognize them as spam. Use SMTP to solve this issue. :D

    locomotion sounds like he knows his stuff, but if that doesn't work you can just post a little note on the signup page saying "Add to address book to make sure your confirmation e-mail isn't filtered"
