30,000 links?? wow. This sounds like you built too fast and aren't getting any credit for them. How many are paid links and how many are relevant?

Your backlink must have PR, so it can pass some PR so yours. In addition, if the pages that link to yours have many outbound, it'll pass little PR to yours. So check the backlinks PR, see the outbound and see if the link is actually do follow.

i have 170 000 links and pagerank 2 aswell, this depends on many factors as in how many diffrent sites link to you, and how is the quality/relevance of the pages that link to you, and how is the pagerank of the pages that link to you, and stuff like that, also just give it time, you might get a higher PR with the next update probably

30,000+ external links or incoming links? how long you have been doing link building? if you started the link building just a month or 2 ago, then wait for a while for your PR to be updated. also, its important to know how you are link building and what are the PR of your incoming links, whether any of them are sitewide links or not, etc.

I admire you for a PR2. You need to tell us what you did to get so many links that quick. At least a hint

I exchanged links with the blogs only, which were placed on their homepage, hence i got sitewide links on that blog, also i got links from search portals.
None are the paid links,i never paid to any1 for giving me link.

    More Question:
How can I know whether the backlinks are "dofollow" or not?

If you get a backlink from a non-relevant site, will it nothing to your pagerank or linkrank?

You don't get 30,000 links natural in a short time...only if maybe if you are a REALLY popular blog...like Techcrunch.com or something....

Google will notice that and can penalize you...at least for some time...

Are you sure you aren't confusing some of those links with being links that point to blogger? I know that when I check a squidoo lens, depending on how I check it, lots of links can show up that go to squidoo, but not to my specific page.

Google calculates pagerank based on the relevancy of the pages linking to you, their pageranks, whether or not they are known link farms, whether they are paid links, etc.
