Does amount of traffic help in the SERP's?

    I am not to sure if traffic does, but I guess it would depend on where the traffic is coming from, with the right anchor text in the link it would.
    I would think that other things like site age, bounce rate, average page views, time spent on site and returning visitors may have some sort of influence on SERPs but I am not 100% sure.

    SERP brings traffic , traffic cant bring Serp according to my knowledge . The more Serp you will have it will help search engine to read your site and blog , result you will receive traffic .

    Google monitors the click through rate on its serps and if your site gets a lot of clicks Google may promote its position. Look at the source code on the serps page and you will see a lot of javascript, which is used to monitor clicks etc...

    Your rankings in the serp is not affected in any way by the amount of traffic your site receives.
