How to spend 1000 USD

How would you spend $1000 in advertising your website. I mean something that could help you in ranking for a quite long time (no google adWords or other "quick" advertising methods).

    Thanks,

well if you got $1000 to spend then start by maybe submiting to good directories, then I would spend some money buying some good quality links from good sites, dp is also good for that. The thing is its not how much you spend but how spend it, if you spend it slowly you will be able to grab some good deals. good luck!

This is all too vague for me:

    What is a good directory?

What is a good quality link?

What is a good quality site?

What is DP also good for?

Why will I grab good deals if I spend slowly?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm a bit thick.

You should read up some more - this may help you some. There are some other articles in there that you may find interesting also if you search around.

    Hope this helps :)

ok I will try and give you a better answer since you didnt get anything I wrote earlier.

    What is a good directory?

A directory that has traffic and normally a good page rank, the best ones are as you may know yahoo and dmoz but there are loads of others.

What is a good quality link?

well links from a good site normally with page rank and sites that dont include gambling etc..

What is a good quality site?

go some research...there are loads round.

What is DP also good for?

well go to the buy links section and link exchange forum and you will see for yourself

Why will I grab good deals if I spend slowly?

if you dont rush it means that you dont buy anything that is on sale, so pick carefully.

I think I answered your questions a bit better, even though I am not really great at explaining. best way to find out is to try for yourself. ;)

I'd spend around $50-$100 on some dirt cheap bid directory links. Bad I know, but its cheap links at the end of the day.

I'd pay someone to submit to some free directories.

I'd invest some in in-content links like blog posts and article marketing.

I'd submit to some high quality paid directories.

Dmoz and Yahoo directories both include gambling.

Don't dive in and spend it all at once. Your site will become ever so popular then it will die down. If you are investing money I would reccomend investing it into your content so that people actually want to view your site and making it very intresting. Rather than people being shown to it by adverts and then clicking off. If your site content is good enough the advertising will be done free through word of mouth and people reccomending your site to others via forums etc. If however you do decide to spend all of your money on advertising spread it out over a 6 month period or 1 year or maybe even 2. Grab as many bargains as you can. Don't just pay standard prices for links etc negotiate and find the best prices. Remember...it's all about quality not quantity

Based on your previous post, please follow directions below:

    1. grab foot
    2. open mouth
    3. insert foot in mouth

You bitched on syted for not 'researching?
Well, maybe you should take your own advice as well as the time to read exactly what you write and take an understanding on how you contradict yourself.

I agree with Ryan in that it would probably be a better long term investment to spend that money on content. All the advertising in the world is useless if after people come to your site they find nothing worth staying for.

I would go to Dp buy sell section and buy long term related links first, atleast half of that money i would spend on buying related links, both in-content and homepage [Not sitewide]!

Do what mikey said, social bookmarking, free directory submission, article marketing, blog commenting, etc, also you can try press release submissions!

1st. Submit your website to free web directories and spend a few for paid directories for a good one only.

2nd. Buy a few more domain, build relevant content to support main website, and host in different webhost, link them to the main website.

3rd. Submit these small supported website to free web directories.

Submit to high quality bid directories/general web directories, invest in getting some good article content and also work on buying banner advertisements and bookmarking services to drive traffic.
