BST iTrader - Too scared to use it?

I'm just wondering, if there are any users of BST with strong / positive iTrader feedback that are too scared to leave bad feedback for another member for fear of losing their own "0 Negative"?

I know a lot of users with great feedback, 100+ that have 1 or 2 negatives and these negatives cause a great deal of problems. It seems like 1 negative against your name can be extremely detrimental to your chances of doing business. Regardless of the reason. For the most part anyway.

I personally participate in a lot of deals. I've never asked for a single iTrader rating and have received a good couple of hundred or so. There has been times during these deals that I've had problems with people not paying, being abusive / insulting etc but it's just not worth leaving bad feedback as the repercussions of such i.e. getting one in return, outweighs the positives in alerting other members of such behavior.

What are your thoughts? Are those with something to protect more lenient when it comes to dishing out the negatives?

Yeah I think some are. Usually from what ive seen if you leave a negative you'll get one back even if you didn't do anything wrong. I think there are many people who protect there 0 negative itrader by letting scammers and slackers slide.

if i don't want to leave a neg iTrader, and i would be justified doing so, i'll just red rep them. more then once.

IMO, one isn't going to make a difference. Ironically, I gave out my first neg iTrader last week and the person returned it. I don't feel it makes a difference when i have 35 positives (aka. 97% positive).

I don't agree with this. I think getting a single neg iTrader is worth it, if it saves other members from going through the same thing.

A -itrader doesnt scare me at all as long as i have a thread to show, me personally I read the threads that the -itrades come from and there you can see who is what. So im not scared to get 1 or 100 -itrades and i WILL give if i get scammed in any way.

I wouldn't give a negative iTrader unless it was for a really really good reason.

I don't want any negatives myself.

I rarely deal with bad members so don't have to leave negative itraders. But yeah, I have over 180 itraders and would be scared of getting a red in return.

If some one deserves a negative itrader, I am going to give it regardless of the consequences. If every one are scared of thieves and rogues and stop testifying or take action against them, then the whole world will be ruled by them.

I have my own category of people who deserve to get negative itrader from me.
But one thing for sure, that guy has to steal something from me first before he get one.

I have dealt with any types of scams or etc yet. So I have yet to leave a -itrader.

And does it really help? I mean, they will just ended up giving you an -itrader back, with something made up. like "didn't pay don't trust" or "never transferred domain"

I would tho, if you read the other feedback and read the left for others, looking at the negatives you'll find out soon that the person couldn't help so.

That is not too smart. I will check the one who gave the -ve itrader and see if he is a reputed guy or not. If he is on the red, I would ignore his -ve itrader.

Well, if I absolutely had to leave one, i would, but for the most part, I think I would stay away from them because I want to keep my stuff clean.

thats right, I am scared of getting a red one in return even though I have not done anything wrong.
So I woudn't leave a negative itrader until and unless its really a big scam.
Till now I have 0 negative itrader and I want to maintai it because otherwise before every deal you will have to explain to the potential buyer or seller about that negative itrader
