Forum vs Blog for tutorial site.

    I plan on opening a tutorial site based around photoshop.

    Will i get more $$ from it being a blog or forum? Im not just interested in the $$ so what are the pro's and con's of each?

    For this kind of content I think a website would be better.

    However a forum would be better than a blog if you had to choose between those two.

    IMHO, I think a blog would be easier to navigate. A forum just wouldn't seem right for something like this.

    A blog will be a great marketing medium for your forum!

    You should probably start a normal website: not a blog, not a forum, but a website with Joomla or whatever. Then, you can add a blog (WP or the one built into Joomla), and when you see you have a nice amount of visitors, you can add a forum.

    Nothing keeps visitors away like an empty forum.

    But if you're a newbie I won't recommend Joomla!

    Oh, and there are TONS of templates for Joomla... hundreds of thousands, if not millions!

    Maybe I'm exaggerating...:)
