What are the most common categories that a Directory must have...

    Hi,

    I am associated with a web directory and would like to know your feedbacks with what are the most common or important categories that a directory ought to have... Is there any list?

    Lets hear it from the best in the business... :)

    Look at some of the biggest general directories around. BOTW, dmoz, yahoo etc.

    You'll get a good idea.

    Top categories: Business, Shopping, Internet, Sport, News, Computers, Travel, Insurance, Financial.

    Subcats, too many to list :)

    Have a look at a variety of general web directories for ideas, but avoid copying a whole category structure from any.

    Ok, i will check them. Sometimes you do need to see what the big daddies are doing... ;)

    I hope I will be able to have the most common categories from the already established ones...
