I don't really see a difference. But I'm sorry to say that this is one thing that I don't like from Microsoft.
There is no big difference but it is fast than old version. These days I am occasionally using internet explore. Mozilla firefox is much better than internet explorer and other browsers.
How do i get hold of the stable version of IE8 so far i have IE8 Beta and it is messed the images don't show up right on it.
IE 8 Rocks Well i have to say that it would appear the Microsoft has finally got it's s*** together from a developers point of view, web designer, the browser appears to work and display sites as they appear in firefox, which is a god send, and with any luck we will now only ever have to create one css sheet, mmmm well that's what i am hoping for, and so far so good. My site appear great in FF but in IE 7 i have to make edits, and find a happy medium between the two. But now in IE 8 and FF they are identical whooo
I've tried IE8 Beta as well, & like you, the browser's images didn't show up right on it either. I figured it was just some stability bug so I uninstalled it & reverted back to v7. I did like it though, except for the little buggies here & there.
That's odd; I normally don't have problems coding in IE 7. Sometimes (ok, rarely) in IE 6, but that's just me. You do know there is a virtual image of the IE 8 beta you can use without actually having to install IE8 over your IE7 browser, right?
Its better than IE 7 in many ways, but I got some wierd spacings in Gmail . So maybe CSS functionality is not upto the mark as of yet. Rest the crash autorecovery is a good option
Also remember that this is a beta - there will be bugs that need to be sorted out. Thankfully though things like hasLayout appear to be on their way to extinction.
Only thing I hate is that you have to restart the browser everytime you click the "Emulate IE7" button. I tried browsing with IE8 but it wouldn't work on "Updates" so I have to click the button, restart the browser... and that's just annoying and time consuming.
