well today i got 8 clicks.. but i only got $0.31 is this normal? as well as this.. do clicks get unaccounted for sometimes? because I have this site where it allows me to see where people come from and where they click.. It showed that i got 17 clicks on my links unit.. but only 4 were actually counted..
There is no normalcy to the cost per click, but 8 clicks for $0.31 is not strange, depending on the keyword term it can be less or it can be more. The more competitive keywords usually payout more, but you will still need high-traffic pages to make serious money with any pay per click campaign. 17 clicks on link units do not equate to 17 clicks on ads. When someone clicks on your link unit they must take a second action and click on a ad -- if they do not click on a ad then its not counted. Also when someone clicks on a link unit they are redirected to a hosted Google page so you lose your tracking ability at that point. Hope this helps!
ahhh thanks yeah helped a lot by the way the site is www.urbanascor.com the music site of mine... so i guess.. its kind of competitive?
It might be worth it for you to get a better idea of where the high paying ads are in your niche, so you can create some pages around them to get some ads that pay more. Matt
The amount you are paid for clicks varies even on the same site. Sometimes clicks on one of my sites might be: 1 cent, 50 cents or even $1.50. It depends on the time of day and the ad that they click on.
Your observation is correct. If multiple clicks some from same ip address and the person had not spend any time in that clicked link has not spend any time over there.
Its okay... Earnings depend upon the kind of ad Clicked, and sometimes a visitor does not even visits the site so that click does not account for anything. So its okay .
