i know about what kind of problems stacounter facing at paypal.... but they have those problems when paypal was having some problems with there system... but stat counter dont have patiences at all.... they want there problem fixed in few minutes... but paypal have lots of problems.... everyday to fix and paypal fix these problems one by one serialy....

about -ive buzz, all payment processing have dark side.. its not only paypal but all of them have it... egold, epassporte, e-bullion are famous for deleting account without any big reason.... and if your acc is deleted then you cant withdraw the money like paypal.... the reason why you head alot of -ive about paypal is because too many peoples use it which is why the mass of problems is bigger then other payment processing services.... because not many peoples use egold or moneybookers.... and so there mass of problems is less then paypal... but if you compair paypal problems with others, then you will find the ratio is somewhat equal....

Depends. How big are you going to make this business? If you are going just to sell a few ebooks, paypal isn't a bad option, since it is easy to set up and can accept credit cards.

If you are going to have a shop selling lots of products/high value products, stay away from Paypal. It has a reputation for being highly anti-seller in fraud charge backs and disputes, and locking money inside accounts. You would want to setup an account with a merchant service like Worldpay that allows you to accept credit cards, though these usually come with start up fees+identity checks.

PayPal is used around the world and switching to eGold or Moneybookers wouldn't solve the problem. They aren't so widely recognised or preferred by buyers so its a job trying to convert your customers over to those two payment methods.

even google have dark side..... and yes google isnt trouble free.... also google allow chargeback..... and google have same chargeback protection like paypal.... except google disable account when they want.. but paypal dont do it.. paypal only limit the account which you can remove easily.... but disable account cannot be used again.... google sucks more then others... after paypal, moneybookers is in the 2nd option for me....
