This is the official launch of our new alternative energy site, although we posted an article last week in order to build around. The theme is heavily customized, the most I've ever done to the classic two-column, and I'd appreciate your reviews on the design and what content there is. I'd especially appreciate knowing if there are any browser issues, so please post your browser/version/OS and let me know if you see any misalignments. This is a very special site covering a very special issue for us. We have big plans to go beyond the existing sites and offer a unique view on what we feel is the most exciting technology on Earth. I am viewing the site in firefox and the following text: Solar Power Alternative Energy Environmental Action & Green Living Guide is not aligned correctly with the template it's sticking out of the template. I think the site would look better if you changed the color scheme, I think a black background is too dark, it makes it a little difficult to read the text in your left column. The header seems out of sync with the rest of the template because the template is wider than the header they should be the same width. The site is left aligned while the banner in your footer is center aligned both of them should have the same alignment.
Thanks for those points! Will try to fix the alignment issues. As to the black color scheme, I know it is odd, but the decision to use black was to distinguish the design from other environmental sites, which always have daytime scenes. We thought the idea of the sun shining at night fits the quirky way we approach the topic. Thanks for the feedback. Rep added. Keep it coming!
I think it's a good concept, if you fix the alignment issues and the header, the site would look much better.
OK, I changed some CSS, and I believe I fixed the alignment issues. Could you check if you get a chance? I have yet to figure out how to edit the email input field to make it small enough to fit into the right sidebar. Thank you for your feedback.
