For the record as has already been stated: RED REP DOES NOT EQUAL BAN.

@OP - you sound like a reasonably helpful fellow so just keep posting and your greenies will increase. Everyone gets red, usually with a few not-so-nice comments thrown in. Ignore it and concentrate on providing quality posts.

 

I agree with mcfox.

infractions are given by moderators when dp rules are broken. 10 infractions=BAN.
some infractions expire others do not. once 10 are accrued,thats instant banning then.

reputation is is basically a thumbs up thumbs down rating system. It is meaningless in the whole scheme of things.
Personally i have never given red rep. In my opinion those that deserve red rep will either be caught out by mods sooner or later and get banned if it's warranted.

when giving red rep the repper also gets a red rep.(which means 1 less rep point). So ultimately all those users who are red repping you are just hurting themselves more than they are hurting you..(of course the hurting is virtual..haha)

 

i agree with you.... it should show who give you a rep.. even green or red or gray it should show the name.... i hope digital point should add this option someday....

 

It would also prevent fake reputation because there really does seem to be a select group on here who have an abnormal amount of green even though they might have only posted a small amount. People really are put off from posting their thoughts because of this threat of -10

 

What??? There is no such thing as a fake rep. Maybe those with a small post count and high rep only make good posts that people like.

 

Yeah whatever! Seriously, you'd be seriously misled if you didn't think there weren't a group of people on here who go and rep each other every chance they get. How else do you explain 10 green bars with a thousand or so posts, most of these posts crap?

 

rep make some good sense but that doesn't means we get license to type anything crap here , yes we do get red reps sometimes , don't get angry and try that you will not repeat that mistake again . Few days back i received one red rep on my thread ,Like example my thread was already closed on 22 and i got red rep on 24 , i don't know from where that stupid came but i just ignored that .
