I wasn't sure exactly where to post this, but figured writing would be the best place. My article on writing for Internet markets has been published in the July 2008 issue of the hard copy pub The Writer Magazine. Digital Point is listed as a resource. Yes, I was paid for the article and my url was included in the byline. 1. Don't give up on your writing 2. Get paid what you're worth 3. Use off line publicity to boost your online efforts. 4. Write for hard copy publications. They'll give you credibility which means you can increase your rates. And now to pop a bottle of champagne. Dee
Congrats Dee! I've subscribed to that magazine for ages. I'll admit that I don't read it often (too much focus on fiction crap). I'll look for your work of art when I get July's issue. Playing off your tip #4, I'll add: 5. Get a college degree in Journalism, it adds instant credibility and you'll be more valuable. Couldn't resist.
Congrats, Dee. And an Journalism degree is good to have. Particularly one from UNC. <grin> I'm a Tar Heel through and through.
