Low QS, but Adwords says "No Problems Found."?

    Hey Guys,

I'm a newbie at all this Adwords stuff. I started messing with Adwords a long time ago, but then paused my campaign so I could try to study and learn without wasting a ton of money in the meantime.

Well, now I'm back to taking a swing at it again and I'm running into some trouble.

I have 1 Campaign setup and within it I have 3 Ad Groups. Each Ad Group has 1 single keyword in it that is targetted on the Landing Page, as well as in the Text Ad itself.

Now, I have the campaigns running, but when I look at my Quality Score, it says "Poor". So I click for more details and Adwords says:

    Keyword Relevance: No Problems Found.
    Landing Page: No Problems Found.
Landing Page Load Time: No Problems Found.

So my question is, what am I doing wrong? If there were No Problems Found across the board, why am I getting a Poor Quality Score?

Your help is much appreciated, this is so frustrating. Thank you.

    Well, now it's saying this:

    Keyword Relevance: No Problems Found.
Landing Page: This Page Isn't Highly Relevant
Landing Page Load Time: No Problems Found.

The strange thing is, my page IS highly relevant. As a matter of fact, I'm #5 on the first page of Google for the exact keyword I'm bidding on.

    What are your thoughts?

I suspect that your landing page has little content, with your keywords occurring just a couple of times on the page. Increase the content of your landing page and especially the occurrence of your keywords. Also, make sure that your keywords are represented in the ad text and ad headlines.

    Thanks Masterful, for the reply.

I think my landing page is fine, but I'm no expert. These are the 3 keywords I'm trying to start out with:

    Alliance Leveling Guide
    Horde Leveling Guide
    WoW Leveling Guide

    Here is my landing page:
    zygorguides.com

I don't know if that's allowed to actually tell my site, but I figured it would help more if you could actually see it. Also, I have the keywords in my ad text.

    Thanks for the help.

    Hi, Time4Learning,

Having looked at your landing page, I see that each phrase that you are bidding on has a low occurrence relative to the overall amount of content on the page. WOW leveling guide has a body keyword density of 0.1%. Alliance leveling guide also has a body keyword density of 0.1%, while horde leveling guide has a body keyword density of 0.2%. The body keyword densities that you should be aiming for are between 3% and 6%. Any higher than 6% and Google will see it as keyword spamming, while any lower than 3% and Google may have trouble seeing your page as being relevant.

Is that your landing page or are you direct linking? If it's yours, increase the body keyword densities and you should be OK. By 'body' I am referring to the body of the page (i.e., the content between the <body> and </body> tags). You should aim to include the keywords throughout the page, especially at the top and bottom, and in headlines. Present the keywords in bold whenever possible. The keywords should also be included in the meta description and meta keywords sections of the page.

Masterful, may I ask how you came up with the keyword density %'s in your post? I just ran SEO Elite on my site and it's saying the density for all those keywords is about 4.5%. That's strange, yes?

I used the SearchStatus Firefox add-on. It presents keyword densities separately for the body of the page, the headers, the meta description, etc. The keyword phrase densities that I gave you were for the body of your page and took into account the phrases in their entirety, not individual words. I don't know how you calculated your densities, but your keyword phrases are definitely not of a density of 4.5%.

Hmm, perhaps I don't know how to use SEO Elite very well. :p

I'm going to get that SearchStatus addon now. Thanks.

The problem with your page is not the length, its the marketing tactic.

you have a mile long sales letter and google knows these sites are junk, untargeted and very spammy...

Create a simple short landing page and convey the message in under 10 seconds. Then you will have a great landing page. You do not need hours of reading content for Google to determine your page as relevant. Noby in there right mind is going to read all that text.

Dont make the landing page more than a scroll past the fold...
