So I just got a report from a user on my site that their younger child found some adult orientated content on my arcade site and told their mother about it who just recently filed a formal complaint to me.

So now, I have this huge disclaimer on the very top in large, bold capitalized letters and on my footer:

DISCLAIMER: THIS SITE MAY CONTAIN ADULT CONTENT WHICH IS NOT SUITABLE FOR USERS UNDER THE AGE OF 18.


Why do people have to be so stubborn and waste my time with retarded complaints. It's an arcade site, expect some adult content. -.-

 

Couldn't you have just ignored it?

 

An Arcade website having Adult Material? how do you justify that?

 

I could have, but they could have filed a lawsuit against me and have my arcade shut down.

 

People that shove adult material towards children should be shut down.

 

Do you really think they would want to go through all that just to get your arcade shut down?

 

Arcades are generally referred for kids and i dont expect some adult content there, may be you call it a adult arcade

 

My targeted audience is 18-25.

 

Why should he have to justify it? Does South Park need to justify the adult content because it's a cartoon? Does GTA need to justify the adult content because it's a video game?

You're fine. She's some old bag with no life and so is overcompensating her sense of morality. I feel sorry for her kid, he will probably go off the rails in a few years.

Oh well. I went ahead and removed all my adult games, and now only have games classified for EVERYONE, TEEN and MATURE.

It was good decision of yours because , one single complaint can shut down your site.. Causing financial losses.

Infact you should mention on the first page at the entry of site that this site contains videos which are not suitable for under 18 as well .. keep the Disclaimer in footer as well

I hate parents that blame everyone else for what their kids are doing online. They need to take responsibility for them and stop hassling people that had no bad intentions in the beginning to start off with.

I would have told that mum to nibble on my shlong. What is she gonna do? Oh noooo!!! My kid saw some boobies on the internet!!! If her kid is too young to see boobs then she should supervise him while he is online. Eventually he will bump into something worse.

 

i wouldnt put any adult content on any of my sites, unless it was a adult site. Tje parent was only doing what she thinks is right.

 

What kind of arcade houses adult content? You should have had a disclaimer or not had the games/images/videos in place. Honestly I would try to talk to the mother and tell her that you removed the adult content and apologize to her. The kid was probably looking to just play some games and stumbled onto your site.

 

some kid could type in 0 one google images and get adult content.
