I recently found another good graphical dictionary just as good as the visualThesaurus of ThinkMap. Visuwordsâ„¢ online graphical dictionary and thesaurus
Looks nice. Probably easier than using it's data source: http://wordnet.princeton.edu/ But, I use Bartlett's Roget's Thesaurus.
Same here, but bundled as part of The Journal software. Personally, when I need a grammar reference I need a quick answer. Graphical tools are visually appealing but not practical in my case. There are other interesting grammar tools out there, including a synonym/thesaurus search engine here www.freethesaurus.net You may also find interesting free software for language education and research at www.sequencepublishing.com
No problem, I just found another useful online tool providing you with spelling, grammar and thesaurus checking, http://www.spellchecker.net/spellcheck
Wow, this is what I needed not just for copywriting but for article writing. Trusted Writer, what is the best resource according to you for this stuff?
I believe each one of us have different writing needs. Some years ago I considered WordWeb Dictionary as the best lookup resource, but today I believe The Sage is much better. You may say WordWeb's new version comes with Wikipedia/Wiktionary, even though I don't need those features but cross-referencing and anagram search capabilities. When it comes to editing software, you may love Microsoft Word, but I think The Journal is much better considering its features and multiple spelling/grammar capability adding as many dictionaries as needed. Surprisingly, the best online resource I have found is that of SpellCheker's website.
