I have made a quick design of how i want my website 2 look: My question is : Am i allowed to put ads on the locations i want? cuz i read somewhere im not allowed 2 put the ads next to images because it grabs attention or something. And all the ads are next to images...
Yes, but not as an absolute, non-wavering rule. It's best to check with Google directly. The key is if there is deception or if you are trying to draw attention to the ads by use of the images. If you are not, and they can pretty much tell your intent when they look at the site, they may allow it...they have approved some of my designs which many here would have say would not be allowed.
I took this from the Adsense TOS: Ad Placement AdSense offers a number of ad formats and advertising products. Publishers are encouraged to experiment with a variety of placements, provided the following policies are respected: * Up to three ad units may be displayed on each page. * A maximum of two Google AdSense for search boxes may be placed on a page. * Up to three link units may also be placed on each page. * Up to three referral units may be displayed on a page, in addition to the ad units, search boxes, and link units specified above. * AdSense for search results pages may show only a single ad link unit in addition to the ads Google serves with the search results. No other ads may be displayed on your search results page. * No Google ad or Google search box may be displayed in a pop-up, pop-under, or in an email. * Elements on a page must not obscure any portion of the ads. * No Google ad may be placed on any non-content-based pages. * No Google ad may be placed on pages published specifically for the purpose of showing ads, whether or not the page content is relevant. It doesn't say you can't put ads next to images does it?...
No, the TOS, itself, doesn't (and there's a technicality they need to close) He didn't post the best url for this issue, check out this one: http://adsense.blogspot.com/2006/12/ad-and-image-placement-policy.html
I think its when an image is used to appear like the link destination. Seriously though I would reconsider your ad placements. You have three ads before any content. They are all bunched in the hot zones. Once a visitor scrolls to the content your ads will be off the screen. IMO the only way you are going to get clicks is if the visitor sees the ad.
You should probably check with Google... But I do remember reading that if the picture looks like the link destination, that is against TOS... For example, if I have ads about cell phones and place a picture of a cell phone next to them...I will probably never see my Adsense account again =(
Depends upon how it's done. Like I said, they approved ones of mine that folks here would have said violated "TOS" Sometimes the layout makes it such that it's very obvious that the images are not associated with the ads even if very close. They can also tell if you're trying to pull a fast one, or if the positioning is the most efficient and is also benign. When in doubt, check with The Google.
