War with Iran in 2 months?

    We're going to war with Iran, no holds barred. The first article says that two senior members put down a timetable of two months, surely the second article will provide enough justification to attack Iran.

    When will this end?

    With 140 000 troops tied in Iraq, USA could ill afford another war, this time with a well equipped troops that are not the kind of demoralized soldiers USA faced in Iraq. There won't be any war. If we were to believe what we read, the world by itself won't have been ended for thousands of times.

    Agreed. Besides, while the government may be anti-Western, the people that live in Iran tend to be very forward-thinking. Remember, Iran was once a staunch American ally. There'll be a lot of talk, but no real action here. And for once, this is the perfect situation for diplomacy to work its magic (albeit the mailed fist in a velvet glove approach to diplomacy, but still).

    I'm sick of wars...I can't even imagine what people who are living it are going through. :(

    so I truly hope there will be no war in Iran...enough already!

    it's time for the whole world to have a shift in consiousness and start focusing on the good instead of the bad. What we focus on is what we attract!

    I can't imagine they would attack Iran now...

    They certainly wanted to - the Bush administration tried to inflate the Phantom Menace again like they did with Iraq... until the US security forces said, Not this again, and got together to release a joint statement saying that Iran had abandoned its nuclear programme...

    Dan is right - the young people of Iran are very forward-looking. Most really don't give a toss for the Islamist protestations of their leaders... they like Coca-Cola and Michael Jackson... although unfortunately this is mixed in with deep cynicism for political action... so I don't how matters will change in Iran...

    U.S. is ill equipped at the moment to start another messy war....it's better for it to focus on it's economy and let the peace come to this world.......we had enough of wars in the name of weapons of mass destruction :mad:

    very few people want a war with iran. the people that support or hint of supporting a war with iran [like liberman] are looking worse each time they try to advance their position.

    I dont need any war, stopping the threat with economic sanctions is the best way and I surely represent the Israeli view on this one. :)
