Can someone help me? My site: http://www.eugenef.com The site has over 2300 pages and on May 19th my traffic from Google dropped from 800-30. Overall it used to be 1200. I have no idea what to do. I used to have a links page and a whole section, which I removed. Also took some links off the homepage. I just don't know what to do. I am targeting the following phrases: "Nature Wallpaper" and "Free Wallpaper" I have spoken to friend who do SEO and they are not sure, and I am very worried. I ask for everyone's help. I cannot manipulate the gallery since that is a code a friend of mine created. But if you can ask friend or anyone to help me, I would be greatly obliged. Wish everyone the best and than you for your time!!
I don't think you should worry about this, many people have been experiencing the same problem lately, there is definitely something strange going on with google, hopefully everything will be back to normal some time soon.
Ok, I hope so. To me it seems as though the rules changed and I used to be ranked number 2 for nature wallpaper am not even in the top 100 anymore... someway to fix it, has to be... freewallpapers.to somehow is always at the top even know, I can't explain it..
Eugene, I cant understand your shock. Thats upsetting when your visits drop so much. I'd say keep abreast of the Google section of the site to see how other users are overcoming this 'situation'. I call it a situation as it will soon be overcome and i'm sure your traffic and everyone elses will improve.
Between the updates I have been hearing about with Google (pageranking etc), plus the amendments to your site, this will be having the effects you are experiencing. Once they respider you properly, and it all settles again, you should notice it getting back to normal. Are you still working on the SEO side of things ?
Yea I want to improve the SEO and thought maybe someone could break down a page for me, maybe using <H> tags incorrectly not sure
Idd say get some big link building going try to not focus on search engine traffic but other sources such as social bookmarking, try link exchanges with other wallpaper sites. I have recently gone through the same but with a different nieche luckally mine didnt drop as much due to me having a steady flow of referals to the site!
Well I used to have a huge link exchange program, but removed it after the drop because assumed google doesnt like that...
Well I was just worried, because I found out one of the sites was blacklisted and so fourth.. I just can't figure out what I am doing wrong... anyone want to examine my pages?
The keywords you are targeting seem to be very broad, and competive. I'm not 100% sure if this is the cause of the drop in traffic, but I would not rule it out. I would continue to work on link building for the site.
