Really, really pleased with how this turned out. Tried something a little different compared to everyone else. Feedback is appreciated - Matt
Checked your PM but didn't receive anything? Please post all designs in this thread. Some amazing designs have been submitted but it's not my decision to make. I'll let you all know tommorrow when I've spoken with my client any feedback/suggestions etc. etc. Thanks for being patient
raja nice entry. i like your style! and Imba.Unknown...I like yours most of all, but of course, if it was a pub header it would be better, not a poker header. haha. Nice work though. I like your choice of colors
Thanks a lot and its not a poker header. Its a pub header and its clear i used glass stock images at both the corners.
raja, i wasnt talking about your header i was talking about imba.unknown's entry...(props to both of you) lol... gl
Didn't realize I wasn't allowed to use tinyurl.com, ah well. Be sure to click the image above for a full demo - Matt
I'm unable to have my entry finished on time due to personal issues. Although, please submit my unfinished design (http://www.imgpig.com/uploads/59950_preview.jpg) as your client may wish for me to finish it. Thank you Josh
My next try... I made an 'intro/home page' so that its the first page you see when you come to the site, then the pages other than the main page will look like the 2nd image... Home Page: Pages in site: Of course, if anything needs changing or adjustments. It's possible Thanks!
This is all I have managed to get done so far. It is far from finished. However, if your client likes this style, I will continue working on it.
Hi guys. Unfortunately the layouts you designed weren't what my client was looking for and he's asked me to close the contest now as he needs to get started with the coding of the site. I apologise for all the hardwork and effort you guys put in - you all did a great job!
Theres a good few thousand $ worth of work here, you should give some sort of consolation prize, or ask your client to. Otherwise in future people will be less keen to enter your contests. -H.
Agree with Hecky. I have been watching this thread from the beginning and there are some great pieces of work there. You kept extending the deadline by saying your client was away and didnt have internet access, which was obviously a ploy to get more people to enter and in the end you have closed the contest without using any of the work.
I don't really mind at the end of the day it was fun to design it. Not really about the prizes. Yes it is disappointing when it happens, but such is life. Can always re-sell your design for a lot more than the prize on offer here.
this does disappoint me a lot too. even if the consolation were a lousy 10 bucks....i mean i totally understand though, you can't do anything about it...i basically agree with daveyboy but still agree with the others... im the mid man. ha. We could re-sell our designs, but that also means taking that and changing a lot....which sometimes...changing can take longer than creating because of finding wht spots NEED to be changed...there ends of being so many layers... at least for me... i have an average of say, 40 layers-70layers... anyway...i know i've been very excited for this contest...sadly it makes me feel like people were to just look at designs and just take ideas.. i doubt this was one of them...but it still makes me think... could you maybe give us feedback though, on what the client liked and didn't like? or he just didn't like any at all, period... and your thoughts on our work? Any feedback or criticism? anyhow, thanks for the great contest emzdesigns! EDIT: hey, wait.....how is your client going to get coding of the site when he has no layout??...
i totally agree with u . But some where it hurts me as i woke up till 5 AM to reach the deadline .Anyways its really fun designing . BTW daveyboy where can we sell these templates?? Am having some nice ones of my own creations
Yeah I stayed up very late to meet the deadline only for it to be extended a day. Was a bit annoying but never mind. Stuff happens in business, you just deal with it and move on. You'll have better luck next time.
