are you being tired of searching terms in dp and ending up with the message that you keywords are less then 3 letters... its pretty annoying because search will give irrelevant results...moreover search is not precise too....i did it many times myself and result were all spreaded so here is the substitute goto google.com search with this syntax site:http://forums.digitalpoint.com + <keyword> as you would already be pleased to know that google is best is search business so you will get back quality threads from google search results ex of such a search http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=e...nt.com+,high+traffic&btnG=Google+Search&meta= NOTE:You can thank me if i saved your time and money for this
I always search in google rather here Shawn was allowing less than 3 letter searches but due to abuse of the system he did n't allow 3 letter searches as these searches takes a lot of resources while searching
but many people here might not know this....moreover i tried dp searching its not worth..as compare to result what google shows i think this thread must be made sticky...so that forum is benefitted...that will allow shawn to accomodate his resources
I have always used the "google hacks" to find my way out in this enormous pile of info the Internet provides.
well if someone really want google commands and hacks i m in a process of publishing my own google craking method....to find any piece of available software, script from google.... it also include the trick to break a rar password by using google ...the most fastest i think till now...(probability of which is very high)
When you search something through the forums search box, you can see the "Perform same search with Google" on the upper left corner above the search results, that link is the same with what you proposed.
why would you go twice for same thing moreover there is 3 letter word limitation here which i talked about
For once, that way you perform 2 different searches(only if internal search does not work) which is better than 1, for twice, you don't bother writing site:forums.giditalpoint.com on Google, it is already in the link, so that way is better.
try two different searches here one from dp and one from google and see relevancy %age yourself ofcourse not to mention what is google known for
You can't sort by post date in Google, which is what i need. Anyhow, i like internal search better, it's up to people.
http://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en i think you never tried advance search in google http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=7939415#post7939415 its done now here i have posted a short guide...not too long only covered essential things
