My current project: Arcade Current

Here is the most recent arcade site [purchased domain a few hours ago] that I am working on. This is draft #1 of a new generation of Arcade sites. Arcade Current will not be using any form of portal script whatsoever, I will be doing everything manually BY HAND.

Anyway, here is a preview of draft #1 of Arcade Current:

I do not like the logo, I think the logo could be much better.

 

I know the logo could be better, but I just wanted something simple. I don't want people to focus on the logo, but rather the content of my arcade.

 

I think that's a really crisp design and totally to the point. It looks trustworthy, largely I think due to the colors you're using. I'd like to see more of it, also so I hope you'll keep us updated.

If I could make a suggestion? Maybe have the lightning bolt be yellow/gold? The reason I say that is because while I understand you don't want people fixating on the logo, the tiny touch of color may make their eyes linger just long enough to flash-memorize the site's name. That'd bring them back more.. at any rate, it'd work on ME!

I actually had it as a colored lightning bolt, and it didn't go well with the layout. Blue and yellow don't really mix well together, so I blended the bolt into the color scheme and produced that which I find attractive.

Good start, but I hope you are aware of the Competition for the Game sites and Arcade Sites.

 

I'm already aware, I already own one arcade site which I am still working on getting the traffic back like I used to before it was shut down for a few months.

I'm currently on 300+ UV/day on my current arcade. After it dropped down to 5 million on Alexa, I have regained nearly 4 million ranks and am sitting at 1.7m. I just now wait for Google next PR update.
