Does more backlinks = frequent crawling

I am trying to get my forum crawled and indexed constantly. I have dozens of new threads being made every day, but googlebot seems to be slow to index new content on the site. How can I get these posts spidered and indexed faster? More backlinks?

 

If you have a blog pinging Google will help, submitting fresh sitemaps also help. (You can submit sitemaps on Google webmaster tools)

 

Do you know how long does it take that those links in the sitemap get indexed on google?

 

I'm not sure how long it takes the links in the sitemap to get indexed, but google seems to 'OK' my sitemap within a day of me submitting it. Sometimes less.

It would be better if you get quality backlinks the more quality backlinks the more frequently your site is crawled for example have a look at DP. And yes submitting sitempas also helps

Forums like DP and SP are great source of links. Search Engines crawled those topic you post here. Make relevant and quality post. Have you tried Blogbaster? Everytime you post something in dp or any seo forums, you can ping the URL's so that SE can easily crawl your post..

 

More backlinks don't always equate to more frequent crawls. Having a higher Pagerank would mean your pages get crawled more frequently and the bot would go deeper into the site.

Having more links doesn't always mean a higher Pagerank though.
