Your obviously being punished for keyword density, poor SEO, or other things. That aff sites being treated badly is a myth.
It's inspirational to read a post like this (yes, all 18 pages) and nice to know that affiliate marketing is profitable. I guess your never to old to learn which makes this thread extremely interesting and informational. Bottom line is... you get what you put into it and never give up! Thanks again!
Thumbs up for you! I'm still unable of making money online after reading this forums & all the ebooks out there lol
Those are some fantastic earnings. I've been at a steady ~$14,000 a month for about two months now, which I'm really pleased with. I'm hoping to be at your level within six months though.
Affiliate marketing hasn't worked for me. I spent several hours a day working on it and made almost nothing.
Hi, Thanks Nabs for starting such an informational and inspirational thread. I learnt a lot from this thread. Thanks bushib
brotherZ, for how many days ? 1 or 2 ? If so it's too low anyway maybe it's not just for you. You need to be persistent and learn from mistakes.
I'm feeling where Brother Z is coming from. I have been trying affiliate marketing for three months. I have been using techniques from Travis Sago, Russell Brunson, copywriting techniques from Daniel Levis, David Deustch, Fabian Tan and many others who are recognized in their fields. I have been doing keyword research as suggested by the above experts, short US Freeads, Squidoo lenses, other articles, blog posts. I have been choosing items with hungry crowds- making ethanol, increasing gas mileage, vitamins, health care and fitness products, computer services and resources, organizational supplies, and much more. Hundreds of hours of research, time spent crafting ads, posts, and articles, doing SEO, careful control of keyword density and so on. My ads, and lenses show up fairly high in searches. The results? Views in the thousands, sales= zero, zip, nothing, nada, goose egg. I am very frustrated. I would appreciate any advice that is not the same thing I have been hearing for months.
I think the coolest part about affiliate marketing is that anyone can get ranked in the search engines to promote merchants or products. I feel that daily posting of fresh content is vital to good organic rankings, but takes a lot of work. PPC can be made to work if you do it slowly and build up the ROI over time...like months...Nothing in affiliate marketing happens over-night, despite what can be talked about here or there. It takes a concerted effort to building out your part of the Internet and generate traffic and sales! Thats a pretty basic explanation, but true I think...
Sounds like you're spreading yourself thin taking on a bunch of topics at once. Do you own your own domain and web hosting or are you just promoting with Squidoo? I highly advise you get your own domains. However, when I make a new site I let it age with Google for at least 5 months or so before I start developing it. My advice for a learning experience (which is what I did): Start with a Wordpress blog on a topic. Write a keyword related article every other day. Build links with the methods you mentioned. See what happens in 6 months. Don't forget to add Adsense under the header.
