I have a question about getting backlinks from high PR site ... do we have to be in the related niche or just any High PR site ? is it consider ethical if i post insight comment but my link is irrelevant to the content will that help in SEO ?
Any high PR link will help if you have good keyword in anchor text. However, I can't give you an exactly comparison but 1 high PR link in your niche is worth many unrelated links. Thats my 2 cents.
Just curious. Let's say the unrelated link is one PR 9 link, not many unrealed links. What is going to happen? Anyone has seen or has experience with that?
Dont worry much about relevant content or not. It is going to take time. But try to get back links with good anchor text specially your keyword and you are almost done. You get keyword rank as well as PR. use signatures in Forums, that also counts.
It's always better when the site you get the link is somehow related to your niche. So focus on getting links on related sites. Anyway... every backlink helps a little bit
google defines neighbourhood meaning you will be benefitted SERP wise if you have links from related niche. high PR from irrelevant site will help you in terms of giving your site a PR boost, but for SERP wise its better to get links from related niche as much as possible.
Sometimes is is extremely hard to get backlinks related to your specific niche at first so if you cant find any you should focus on thos high PR sites and using good anchor links. Good luck to you.
If the PR9 irrelevant link helps in PR boost and PR is a factor for SERP, it should improve in SERP indirectly. Isn't it correct?
Related niche is a better way to go. High PR doesn't mean to produce high SERP. PR is just one of the factor that affect SERP. If I have to choose between PR9 (irrelevant) and PR8 (relevant), I'll go with PR8 for SERP. it is ethical but probably will not boost much in SERP.
