Unsure of which direction to take

Hey, everyone. I'm somewhat new to the world of internet marketing and I had a question. I'm going to be starting my first site and it's going to be based on a common skin condition.

The problem is that I'm not sure which would be the best approach to take regarding the website. Should I set up a squeeze page and offer some tips of treating this skin condition, and then email them products that can aid in treatment? Should I set up a website that has a lot of articles about taking care of this skin condition and maybe on the bottom, advise to buy certain products? Should I take a different alternative? If you were in my shoes, what would you do?

    Thanks, DP.

Based on what you said, a blog could serve the purpose very well. Plus it is free from Wordpress and some other similar companies.

Can I take a random shot in the dark and guess that your site's about vitiligo? :D

Anyway, it sounds like you're wanting to create this blog for the primary purpose of making money (and there's nothing evil about that). With the posts you'll be making about how to treat the skin condition along with any other content you'll be providing, try to find relevant affiliate products that you could use to advertise on your site. This might not be obvious, so Google around and check with treatment sites related to the skin condition you'll be writing about...look for affiliate programs related to their products.

I would also strongly advocate having Adsense being featured prominently in your articles...have them in between your paragraphs along with a sidebar ad. When people look for info related on niches like this one, they WILL pay close attention to the ads being shown...and clickthrough rates are pretty high in the niche. It's almost a no-brainer to include Adsense for monetizing your blog here. If I wanted to look for products that could treat acne scars, I clicked on your site, and saw an article related to acne scars...I would most likely click on an ad that had a product related to treating acne scars.

So yeah, attack it from both angles here. Find affiliate products to pimp out, and include Adsense as a guaranteed way of providing relevant products to your viewers.

Haha. Nah, it's not vitiligo. It's a different skin condition (roughly half the world has it). Most people don't realize they have it because it never bothered them. Some other unlucky people have it very bad and it causes huge insecurities. And I'm going to exploit these insecurities to make a quick buck ;). Just kidding. Sort of.

I would use the site for both informational articles with links to the products,
and a squeeze page. Both are very valuable tools, and I can't think of a
reason why you couldn't or shouldn't do both from the same site.

Any ideas on how I would implement the squeeze page? Most squeeze pages I see are just a single-page website. Should I just offer free stuff once-in-awhile and snag their email addresses?

niche keyword targeted articles pushing affiliate sales (with substantial internet marketing).
Newsletters can be a great money maker also.

So, I'd basically write an article about my niche, and at the bottom I'd have a link to ClickBank, for example, with my ref attached? What about sending them to a squeeze page, instead, and then emailing them products? Or is your idea more effective? I just want to know which would generate the highest revenue.
