Godaddy is one of the most stable (obviously they're not going to drop out of existence tomorrow), however they do the least for their customers. Godaddy would never give free private registration or any other bonus to customers. They also charge as much as possible for their TLD's on an individual basis. Sometimes there are limited time offers, but how can you really take advantage of those when a new domain name comes to mind at the spur of the moment at any point in time, and you have to register it right away...

I would have to admire you

I landed on GoDaddy following a good registration deal about 3 years ago and I had always found its control panel totally unfriendly until today and mostly aimed to sell you even the air you breathe.

At first I kept my account as a transfer facility to move those cheap domains to RegisterFly, later I found GoDaddy is not the cheaper but they took over RegisterFly's accounts and due to the number of domains I had on that site I have not completed my transfer from GoDaddy to other registrars with best deals.

Agreed about privacy, with RegisterFly it was for free as it is with 1&1 still, Domainsite is only $0.50 and Dynadot $2.00, once again GoDaddy beats the costly deals, LOL

    I recommend www.name.com. I have about 70 domains there.
I have about 30 at godaddy too, but still recommend name.com.

Shoopdawoop, I think it depends on what you plan to do with the domain. If you are buying them to flip them, GoDaddy is great. However, most internet marketers I know recommend Namecheap for a variety of reasons. I personally have used both and don't really have a preference.

I agree that many domainers keep a GD account to be able to push the names they sell faster
Nearly all the people know GoDaddy and this makes it easier too
However as i said before GoDaddy is far from from "best"

GoDaddy is a great Registrar, but I have heard a few complaints about them.

I use Namecheap, flawless so far.
