Hi Here is what i am planning to do . Create a blog with review or info of product i want to sell . Post comments on blogs of similar niche (simply my views on what other person have wrote in his post/blog) . Is that a legitimate way to promote affiliate products ? Will blogging platform or affiliate network may have objection on it ? Thanks
The blogging platform or affiliate network won't object but some people might not like it. Viewers often feel deceived when you give them an affiliate link. You have to be tricky about it. Make you promote a product you'd feel right selling to your grandmother.
It's not unethical. Just try cloaking your affiliate link so it'll convert far better. I've done this and had actually earned a lot more than what I earn from a sponsored review.

i normally work with affiliate programs listed in top affiliate networks ... And also donot misrepresent fact , i simply write merchant details (what it has given in affiliate network) as my review (dont add much from myself) ... now if someone feel cheated ? is it affiliate's fault or merchant's fault... " Now let me give practical example. I have IX hosting link in my signature which is actually a review of ix hosting (i am not pimping my link , what exactly i did is simply wrote what merchant is saying about its hosting , did not add or misrepresented facts at all) .. now What i did is signed up on various hosting forums and started discussing normally (by adding IX hosting review link , dat is my blog link in my signature)... Most of the forums emailed me and told me they donot allow advertising links in signature thats why i should remove it ....i felt wrong i mean if i am contributing in some community i should get atleast little benefit of it ... but as they wanted i removed my signature link " now only option left to me is read various blogs on hosting and give my comments to them ( as wordpress blog let you add your website in " website section" and blogger blog your profile link is visible to someone whom you comment ... its all i am planning to do ? so can i still face any obstacle or is it a perfect way of advertising ( i am not talking about results i know i may not get even one sign up but by doing so i dont want to offend anyone network/law/blogger etc ) Thanks for previous replies
