PR4 Link!

I have a PR4 link from a Real Estate website. The link goes through to my forum on poker with the anchor text "Poker Forums".

Is this link useless of google juice? I realise the traffic it sends will be untargetted, but will the google juice be almost useless?

 

Relevant links are much better, but i believe its ok to have irrevelant links instead of nothing...

Revelant are better for ranking

 

if you can use your keywords in it, it is still great for your ranking, if not, it can improve your site pr also.

You will get link juice from the real estate link but I wouldn't recommend
getting that link because it will not send you any targeted traffic. You should
focus on relevant links.

Would it be better if it was relevant because of the actual traffic it brings, or the google juice? or both?

 

I suppose its ok if you just want PR. But if you want good SERPS then it won't help much at all.

 

When did google start selling juice?

It is still a good link to have for google ranking purposes. Are you paying for this link or is it free? If you are paying a lot for it, then you probably want to find a more related website to advertise on.

 

Use a relevant link

 

It's free. I found a website where you can modify the front page. Stuck my link on there when I found out it was PR4. Go figure.

 

Of course relevant links are better than irrelevant.But having a sum of irrelevant links PR of your site/blog will be increased. But remember one relevent link is equal to 10 irrelevant...

 

maybe make an article or post on your poker forum about new casinos being built on properties and the real estate companies that are selling them , then have the link point to that page - and then that page gets included in overall PR score.

relevant links are better - Google webmaster tools will show you 'what Google bot sees' and stuff like that to give you an idea of what keywords google bot sees your site as having. (Which they should obviously be the keywords you built your site around.)

this strategy is debatable - but it would seem to give it a better chance of being in any way relevant at all - as opposed to inbound link from real estate pointing to a poker forum.

1. Winner of poker match buys brand new house from such and such real estate
2. New casinos to be built at such and such place - land purchased through Somethin Real Estate
3. Man/ Lady that owns casino or poker related thing - used to be a real estate agent.

DP is dofollow but is SEO related - I wish they would add more sections as more relevant keyword sites are not dofollow or they're very boring and not very active

yes, get backlink from relevant site is much better.

 

Relevant links are a must! I read another post on the forum where someone had 30,000 links and a PR of 2. That tells me relevant is where its at.
