I run a forum for jobs in India (my signature). I made a html page containing links to search results of the forum. What I wanted to know is if google indexes these result pages. Example for a search result page searching for a word "Chennai" : http://www.indianjobtalks.com/forum/search.php?keywords=Chennai
Yep, google does index them, but make sure you dont get penalised for duplicate content. Note : I just check out your website and found session ID's in your forum which can create problem in getting indexed and rankings also use some seo plugin like vbseo.com
Yes google index forum contents. The best example is digital point. Post any topic and search it in google. You will find the result.
Agreed... You're using phpbb, so I would upgrade to phpBB3 and install the SEO mod from phpbb-seo.com Not a simple mod to install, but totally worth it.. eliminates those session id's, converts the php files to html pages, and has a bunch of other features..
fyi.. just a heads up: once the forum is upgraded and the mod is installed, you are going to need to redo all of those links on your main page... and he mentioned "like vbseo" (which is for vbulletin), that's why i pointed out phpbb-seo
As of now u may want to put in the SEO mod there which might help you get a feel of it.It is avaliable on PHPBB site in community
Vbulletin costs nothing with vbseo if you are serious about your website because with these 2 combo you can make back the money in a month's time.
