To promote website need to work on stumble upon, digg? etc.

What does it actually mean when we say promote the webiste on Socila network site.... does that mean ask people to go visit the website?? or just create active profile.....is it not a long loop cuz even if someone likes your profile s/he might not click and see your website Dont you suggest that SEO or direct linkbuilding is better than that. Which one is the ideal way and practical route. Thanks in advance.

hii guys.
i'm not sure if what i gonna say right or wrong. but i do it always in this steps:
1. write article about my site or content and add backlink to my url .
2. publish it on any Socila network site.
3. people read it.and visit my site.if your site is great.some one goin to digg your article.so more and more people can see it and visit your page..

i hope that's right.

I know this works for sure but you might have to do this ongoing to get continuous traffic.

 

thats make me don't like it.
so i stop do it.
right seo is better.

 

But you can try to study for how many days you get the traffic etc. perhaps your results might be different.
