I just saw a blog having PR6 but no incoming links (checked Yahoo Site Explorer and also on Google) How it is possible that a website has PR6 without any incoming links?
I don't see that this URL is redirected. But not sure if any other URL is redirected to this URL?How do I check?
I don't think that there is any possible way or tool to check redirection of url A to url b without knowing actual url A.
It's not possible. Either there are links that aren't shown, the domain has been dropped, re-registered and the PR hasn't had a chance to zero, or it isn't real PR.
Kinda hard to make that presumption when we don't even know what the Web site in question is, don't you think, MattUK? (It could be that the Web site has a really good internal linking architecture set up and has a LOT of pages.)
The site probably has a Fake/Forged PR... This is accomplished by redirecting the domain to another domain with a high PR... You can check for this a few different ways, one is to Google the domain name and take a look at the cache... or you can use this tool to see where the site was being redirected to: http://checkpagerank.net/ This is a big issue with people selling domain names/hardlinks.. some do this on purpose, and some actually do this unintentionally...
Not really, it's an incredibly easy presumption to make It's impossible to 'create' PR, even with a 'really really good' internal link structure and lots of pages. The ONLY way pages can get PR is from incoming links.
