Very unlikely, but it can happen. Like if a no follow attribute is assigned to the page and people are linking to it and visiting to it at the same time.
but if the page is an internal page and is getting "juice" from another page linking to it, is it possible?
Let me think of a scenario, you have a site with a PR then Google de indexed your site for some violation, could it be?
A page that is not indexed (i.e. not findable in the search engine) may have PageRank, but only on certain situations. If that unindexed page is blocked by robots.txt file, PageRank can accumulate in the page if there are links to it even though Google cannot actually crawl the page because of robots.txt.
Ok, so is this PR3 page indexed? http://www.bigfreebet.......com/betfair....php (take out the extra dots)
I'm not sure about the exact answer but my logic tells me that If it's not indexed, then it's not in google database. So where does the PR comes from?
i say its not posssible , only will be possible when you are doing it by purpose with no follow attribute assigned to the page and people linking to it and visiting at the same time.
May be it gets PR, when you Google is distributing PR at that time, it was indexed. And when you find page is not indexed at that time, pr of the page not going to change, cz gennerally pr update takes time frame of 1 month to 3 months. So at that time it may lost pr or will retain the same, who knows Google's mind.
Does not seem to be! Can't find a <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, FOLLOW"> in the source code, and on the homepage is a {a href="betfair.php" rel="nofollow">Read Review</a} the robots.txt is: User-agent: * Disallow: And Google reckons there are no back links to that page.. Mmm Will it still be PR3 at the next update? Cheers James
no,but you see the pagerank is always updating, but the public pagerank that we see updates few times a year. if google deindexs a page,it looses all the pagerank. the links page on the site in my sig had a pr3,then i had it deindexed (because of spammers ) and the pagerank went to N/A when google updated the pagerank.
