So you believe that jumping over babies poses no greater risk than not jumping over them? are you serious? Have you seriously been reduced to claiming to hold this utterly untrue and illogical opinion?

I guess when the only way you can carry on defending these people is to claim black is white, grass is blue and the sky is green, well, you are going to have to make that claim, Regardless how it makes you look.

Wow I seriously am amazed that anyone can hold this position.

#1 There was no mention of kids never being hurt, with your own logic than we must conclude kids are hurt.
#2 People perform ceremonies all the time and other actions where they or their children are hurt, that is far from evidence of any kind.
#3 Yet again, simple logic. Full grown man jumping over extremely young children can trip and fall onto them, how can you not see this simple concept?

i did not see anything pointing to that conclusion in the link you posted.
in any case there has been nothing in the original article that points to any danger.
so why everyone assumes that these people would put their children in danger every year?

Do you think there is magic that makes it impossible for full grown men to miscalculate or to trip and fall onto these children?

People put their children in danger every single day, it's nothing new.

There is danger in this ceremony, even 'if' there was never a single incident of a child being hurt, of which you have absolutely no proof of.

With you not at least admitting there is a danger there really makes you look foolish IMHO, how you can not see an adult falling on a child like that is dangerous 'and it can happen' simply amazes me.

It is good to be open minded, but not so open minded your brain falls out.

The danger is people are jumping over infants. Not hard to see the danger there.

How can these mothers voluntarily lay their babies down on a mattress on the ground, step away from their baby, and then watch as an adult man tries to jump over them as some kind of festival game?

people are jumping over babies. That, By definition, Is more dangerous than not jumping over them. Your logic (or lack thereof) is astounding. Do you deny that what i have bolded is true?

What do you mean "as far as we know nothing has gone wrong"? We have no information either way. As far as we know all children besides the most recent ones were killed. The available information supports that claim as much as it supports your belief that no children have ever been injured.

You are entitled to your own opinion, But you aren't entitled to your own version of reality.

Just out of curiousity, I wonder if a catholic wrote to the pope, what he would have to say about this? I'm agnostic, so I am not super familiar with the bible, but I'm sure this ritual is not in the bible. According to what I found in the bible, Christians believe to get rid of evil, all you would need to say is, "In the name of Jesus, I command you to leave." That's it. No endangering babies or dressing up like the devil.

Hmm, maybe we should make a pingpong ball out of you now. We could probably put you on a stick and find some people to worship you and jump over you.

I think you are barking up the wrong tree, as I am agnostic. This means that I don't believe the soul or even G-d exists or does not exist with 100% certainty. Therefore, I am not trying to convince you either way, as I don't know myself. However, I do tend to believe that atheists may be more rational or logical to say that a soul does not exist, because in actuality, there is no real proof that one does.

    You know how women/moms are.

The guy is obviously a professional...he's going to easily clear those babies...by at least 6 inches or so. :p

**I wonder how much more you have to pay to have your baby in the front row.
